Chris concentrates his practice on transactional issues, including residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales, contracts and leases; wills, trusts, estates and probate matters; creating LLCs, L3Cs and corporations; and general business matters.
Chris attended the University of Vermont where he received his B.A. in Biology. He then went on to earn his J.D., cum laude, and a General Practice Program Certificate, from Vermont Law School. While at Vermont Law School, he was on the dean’s list in multiple semesters, and earned six academic excellence awards for achieving the highest grade in his classes.
Prior to joining Valsangiacomo, Detora & McQuesten, P.C., Chris clerked at a Burlington real estate law firm, and spent twelve years in various roles at a Vermont-based health insurance provider. He is admitted to the Vermont Bar, and a member of the American Bar Association, the Vermont Bar Association, and the Washington County Bar Association.
Chris is a Vermont attorney who represents clients in courts in Vermont including the towns of Barre, Montpelier, Waterbury, Middlesex, Northfield, Chelsea, Williamstown, Randolph, Waitsfield, Warren, Stowe, Morrisville, Hyde Park, Burlington, South Burlington, Williston, Winooski, Colchester, Richmond, Bolton, St. Johnsbury, Lyndonville, Newport, White River, and Bradford.
A Central Vermont native, Chris lives in Barre Town with his wife and two sons. In his free time Chris enjoys spending time relaxing by campfires, snowmobiling, attending sporting events, and exploring back roads.
