William B. Field

Bill concentrates his practice in residential and commercial real estate, probate and estate planning, and business purchases, sales and other transactions. He is a Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Barre Opera House and a thirty year member of the Chelsea Fire Department. He attended the University of Massachusetts (B.A. 1963) and Georgetown University Law Center (L.L.B., 1966). He was a member of the Georgetown Law Journal and served as Managing Editor. Bill is a member of the Vermont and Washington County Bar Associations. He was a member of the Vermont House of Representatives and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Truk District in the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
Bill was born in Montpelier, Vermont. He and his wife, Jan, live in a village home in Chelsea and have three grown children. In his spare time, Bill cross-country skis, goes fishing for bass, listens to opera, enjoys reading and sitting in the sun at camp.
